At the heart of The French Wine Cooperative is Christian—a lifelong “restaurant person” whose journey began working in his family’s bicycle shop at age 10. There, he learned the core principles of business: connect with your customers, provide genuine service, and never compromise on quality.
Christian’s hands-on experience runs deep, from guest logistics at Carnival Cruises to wrenching as a mechanic and guiding customers at a local Volkswagen dealership. But it was the move to fine dining at just 17 that sparked his true passion. Working under a James Beard Award-winning chef and learning from brilliant sommeliers, he immersed himself in the world of world-class food, wine, and guest service.
Years spent studying high-end wine and hospitality gave Christian a vision: to make exceptional Old World wines approachable and accessible—without intimidation or prohibitive cost. As a sommelier and salesman, he knows what today’s restaurants need: wines that are easy to serve, profitable by the glass, and impressive on the palate.
